Okay on with the story!
After a few months of returning home, I went back to work to keep my mind stimulated, which is being part of the Yakuza. The girls and I and some men were on a mission which was taking down some wannabe gang that was stealing our shipments from us. So we infiltrated their territory. This shipments are important to us, the shipments includes medical supplies, not only for our men but also for the people we save and take care.
So let me explain, what i mean by for the people we save and take care, our operation is actually a secret one we have with another gang called the Blood Phoenix gang. From the outside we seem like Mafioso, Mobsters or even gangster which you guys like to called, just say that this 2 gangs haven't been gangsters for more than a few decades now, both the gangs agreed many many years ago that this wasn't the right lifestyle for them and instead want to help people, so they disbanded and recruited people who wanted to help others stop crime and not promote it.
So the organisation is a secret organisation that has spies and agents that help people and stop crime like drug deals and chains and even human trafficking. We would save people who were trapped in this situations and keep them in safe places, we are somehow connected to the police and the police force in someways, we have agents in the police force that helps us capture the criminals that we have captured and would send them to prison for their crime.
The shipments were full of the equipment and supplies we need to help these people we save because some were injured and some were terribly traumatised by their experience, we even have agents in the medical industry to help us too by helping this people. The supplies we needed was in the shipment in a way to help the women who was in a bad situation such as being pimp out by pimps and human traffickers. Some of them were force to take drugs by their captures which we try to rehabilitate them. That is why we were pissed that the shipments were not only late but were stolen, the women need them and not only the women we save but also the men that we had to save too.
There was a warehouse that Mayumi had been surveilling on for the past few weeks and she got intel that the gang who stole our shipments were inside and she made precise timing on when they came and left the warehouse.
We made a plan and the men and my girls went through with it, and we almost succeeded, well we kinda did but...Something unexpected happened.
We were ready to bust in until we saw someone already beat us to it, there were men surrounding the guys we wanted to capture but there were 4 main guys there as well. 2 of the men were older, might be around my dad's age but the other 2 seem to be younger, maybe around Kei' age.
I saw the leader going towards the perpetrators, he was a white man that had light blonde hair, he was kinda good looking.
The other was a black man and he was standing beside the leader. The leader then said to his men to take them away and my stubborn butt won't let them because they stole our damn shipments too!
"HOLD ON! They stole my shipments too! You are not taking them anywhere until I get a piece of them or get my shipments back before i trash someone!" I went out to the light of the warehouse and all their faces were shocked but his men pulled out their guns on me.
I was wearing a mask at that time, so I would be a little mysterious. It was like a ski mask but comfortable and you can only see my eyes.
I didn't care much about their guns so I kept moving slowly and not be afraid by their guns, what they don't know about me is that I am a f Earth/Fire fairy! I have been trained by my cousin in law, Aiko how to dodge bullets and if I do get hit, how to heal them but more importantly I can burn things up or control the plants around me to captures these men.
While I was walking slowly, the men who were actually shocked by my sudden appearance were holding the ringleader of the idiots who stole our shipment's hands and he started to slip up as he was so distracted by me, that he didn't hold the ringleader's hands tight enough.
"Hey! You! Grip harder or he'll get away." With that everyone was shocked at my sudden response to that and the guy started to grip harder on the ringleader which now he has no way to run and escape.
The blonde hair leader signalled his men to lower their weapons down a bit and started walking towards me. When we are only a few steps away from each other, he gave me a quizzical expression and I just had an unexpressionable face on which can't really be seen by the mask I was wearing.
"They stole your shipments as well? Wow they must have a death wish now, who do you work for?" he asked me.
"You first," I said slowly with a stern tone.
From his expressions, he knew that I meant business. "Fair enough. I am the leader of the Red Dragons. Now your turn." he had a calm expression on his face when he said that. It reminds me alot of how Kei and Toni do their work with a calm face with no signs of panic. It kinda came naturally to me.
"I work for the White Tiger gang, the yakuza" I said and he nodded.
"I think before these guys get tired out or get away, maybe you can talk to your leader and we can discuss this situation," he said calmly and we did, I immediately called Kei and they settled things out when he came to our location.
After that, moment as my brother was talking to the leader of the Red Dragons. I heard and felt someone was nearby and I went with my gut which was a bad idea and followed the sound.
When I went around the corner of the warehouse I saw no one was there until from behind I felt someone holding my shoulder and out of instinct I punched the guy on the stomach and heard him go down on the floor.
Everyone heard the sound and I saw the man's face, he looked very similar to that gang leader but much older. All of a sudden, the gang leader's men started pointing their guns at me again and I put my hands up. I saw the 2 older men go and help the older guy who was on the ground.
*Did I mess up?! I never mess up on missions!*
"Dad! I told you I can handle this on my own, why did you come here? You are retired!" said the leader.
*Uh oh, I really did messed up, I just punched the former leader of the Red Dragons.*
"Well, it is your first time negotiating with another gang leader so I thought." he got up while the man tried to balance him, I think I really messed up his stomach or broke something. " and I thought you needed some fatherly advice."
I looked at the gang leader's face and he started rolling his eyes and Kei noticed.
"It's okay man, I used to have a meddling father as well. He stopped eventually but he still meddles sometimes." and for a slight moment, I saw that the gang leader smiled at Kei. "Well, it is really nice to meet you, Mr Brooks"
*Brooks? Why does that name sound familiar?*
I started looking at Mr Brooks and I saw his eyes, it seemed familiar with the last name and the eyes, the features he had, both of them have familiar features of someone I know but can't recall right now. Not only that, the two black men seem familiar to me as well, like a very familiar vibe.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Kei Yamamoto and may I say that your men- or should I say women." he looked at me with a smile. "Has a very good swing in her arm. I think you broke something in me, miss," he said while holding his upper stomach near his chest.
"Well, in my defence. You did sneak up on me, if you were in my shoes and a woman, you will understand why I did it," I said and he chuckled at my response. "But, i really do apologise for punching you in the stomach Mr Brooks, hope you can forgive me for my rudeness towards you in this situation." i said with a bow.
I heard him chuckeld. "That's okay, i haven't been punched since i was young, probably around my son's age. It kinda brings back some memories." he said and he and the other 2 men started laughing.
We settled that situation very quickly and even though we didn't get all our shipments back from those guys we did have a heck of a punching bag getting answers of what happened to them.
But unfortunately, we had to use the supplies that we have carefully until we can order some more.
The next day
It was in the afternoon and I was browsing through my phone while making my Ice Tea in the kitchen, but I was also curious about the Red Dragons' family from last night. I asked Ryo if he had time to research on them and coincidentally, he just went into the kitchen as i was making my Ice Tea.
"Hey, sis!" Ryo came into the room and started whistling and was looking very perky. A little too perky if you ask me.
"Hey bro, so how was the research on that family?" I asked but he just paused and looked at me nervously which got me confused and suspicious.
"Hey, Risa. can I ask you a hypothetical question?" He asked me but I think this question seems more important since he is dodging the first one I ask him. And he rarely uses the word 'hypothetical'
"Yeah...? Sure shoot! figuratively of course." I said, smirking to myself.
"So I have a friend." I started listening carefully. " and he has been with this girl for 5 years."
"Okay..."
"So he thought that the next step would be marriage, because of how long they have been together. You think that's right?"
"Well, five years is a long time and couples do tend to get married around that year mark but I know couples who waited till like their 10th year mark to get married or even less than that. so maybe he is, maybe he isn't, depending on the couple I guess."
"Okay, so he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, he was 22 when it happened and he even got his boss to help him with reservations to a very high-class exclusive restaurant that is really hard to get in or even book."
"Wow, fancy guy I see."
"So when he proposed to his girlfriend, the girlfriend who was also 22 when it happened, told him that she will be moving abroad for an internship that she applied to. She has to leave the country for a year or so... And she was leaving the very next week... And she didn't tell anyone, not even her family that she was leaving."
"Okay, hold on. I don't know if it's an Asian thing or it's the strict parents thing but... I wouldn't even do that to mama and papa, well except for my rebellious days. But still, what was this girl thinking?! Why didn't she tell her parents about this? In a week? She was leaving in a week and didn't even tell anyone till the last minute?! Did she think that no one would notice?"I started ranting.
"Oh, there is more, so my friend and his girlfriend kinda had an argument because he doesn't agree she should go and then they started arguing even more which was mostly her talking and him saying that her father would never go for it."
"Okay, and your hypothetical question is?"
"Who is wrong here? My friend or his girlfriend?"
"Well, that is hard! So I would say both but I pity the guy mostly. Because...since he's already thinking about marriage, it means he is serious about her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. But knowing that she made plans without telling anyone including him makes him feel unimportant, I get it. But he shouldn't have also mentioned her dad in the argument. If you want my opinion, I think the way the girl handled the situation was really childish and thoughtless, I pity the guy that had to deal with that and I know that he would always be seen as the bad guy in those situations. I get her situation too, that she has the right to make her own decision but how she handled it was really bad."
"Really?"
"YEAH! C'mon, she is fighting with him like it was their first-ever fight and it was over an argument that could be easily resolved by communication, i know is easier said than done but i think both of them have to communicate on how they should handled situation, marriage isn't a walk in a park, they communicate, and this comes from a person who has been married before. Communicate is key.
"If they could have communicated about where they are heading in life, that would have not ever happened. To me, the girl was in the wrong for not telling anyone till the last minute and the guy was misunderstood. He didn't know how to handle the sudden situation that was brought to him and she just bluntly said it out of nowhere. Not choosing sides here, even though it looks like I am."
"Wait, there is even more to this..." Ryo then told me the whole story of his friend's dilemma.
Turns out that Ryo's friend's girlfriend kinda in a way "Broke up" with him in that restaurant but it was really unclear if she meant it. The guy got so upset his buddies from work tried to cheer him up by going to a bar, his buddies took the opportunity to tell him to flirt with a girl in the bar and he did, he also kissed her.
His girlfriend who somehow "broke up" with him, saw it and got so angry that she confronted him and told him that she doesn't want to see him ever again. They made up the next day and the day after, it turns out she went to Italy for her internship and she was doing well for a couple of days, the boyfriend called her and she seemed fine.
One day, when her boyfriend tried to call her, she didn't pick up or even picked up her parent's calls. It turns out she didn't attend her internship anymore and everyone was worried. What really happened to her was the craziest thing I have ever heard, it was like in a drama or something.
The girl went out with some colleagues and somehow there was an explosion and she hit her head that caused her amnesia, she wasn't found for 3-4 months tops. There was a man there who saved her and took care of her, he was rich and he got enough money to take care of her. Then I found out that Ryo got really invested in his friend's life as it turns out that a maid saw the girl and the guy who saved her slept together a couple of times. They both had a huge fight when she got her memories back, she went back home and told her boyfriend that she is in love with the guy who saved her by accident.
But what really made me mad was that she did remember her boyfriend when she had amnesia but wasn't sure and she slept with that guy anyway. She got upset when she found out that 2 weeks before she returned back home her mom was presumed dead when her car slipped off the road and went into a deep river and no one found her body.
To clear her mind, she went to a bar with her friend and they started drinking, knowing the fact that her mom is dead and that she had boy problems, her friend persuaded her to kiss a guy and she did. Her boyfriend saw and confronted her... just say family members' names were tossed around and him calling her the playboy's "Tramp" wasn't doing him any favours.
The guy who saved the girl was a playboy and has been caught with a lot of women since his early 20s so that is why he said it. It was out of line, but so was she in my opinion. She ran away for the whole night and the boyfriend got punched by the dad when he found out that she was gone again and what the boyfriend said to his daughter.
Long story short turns out mom was not dead, the guy who saved her life, saved her mom's life when he was searching for the girl and he proposed to her a few months after she broke up with her boyfriend and went on a weekend trip with the so-called "Playboy" and they are getting married soon.
"I can't, I just can't but let me ask you this. This is going to sound kinda racist, but is the girl white?" I asked and Ryo nodded. "And your friend isn't?" he nodded again.
"What is going on here?! What kind of drama is this?! This is some dumb weird racist thing here, and let me guess your friend got what he deserves for kissing another girl and calling her a 'Tramp' which i agree, he was wrong for saying that but somehow the girl that didn't tell her parents she was leaving the country." I took a deep breath. "Who broke up with the boyfriend and said all that nonsense to him publicly, who went missing and came back after amnesia and remembered her boyfriend but slept with another man, who literally went to a bar and kiss a guy just knowing her mom died and running away again!!! She didn't get any squat of punishment! Didn't she?DIDN'T SHE?!"
"And from what you are telling me, this girl right here lives happily ever after and your friend gets nothing and becomes the villain of the story and that he got what he deserves? That is so unfair! He has feelings too, you know? What about his feelings?"
"Well, her father who punched my friend got punched himself and got a fractured rib by someone recently," Ryo told me.
"Well, that doesn't seems to make anything better for your friend, people would always take her side by saying she had amnesia. She has the amnesia card, she can't be touch because of it"
"Okay, do you want to know about the Brooks family?"
"Oh yeah, about that, you just got me so riled up that it nearly slipped my mind. Hope your friend is feeling better by the way."
"Well, he is kinda recovering but... Going back to the Brooks family." Ryo took a deep breath and continued. "So Trent Brooks became the leader at a really young age of 16-17 years old since his parents died from a gang-related invasion. So he had to take care of his younger brother who eventually dies at a young age again from another gang- related invasion a few years later."
"Wow, that's got to be hard. I feel sorry for him."
"So he married his wife when he was around his 20s and it was forced in a way which became love somehow."
"What are we in a movie?!"
"And they have 3 children now. The oldest is Toby who is like 26 I guess and..." he then mumbles the rest and all I heard was. "And his other daughter Chloe who is like maybe going to be around 2-3 years old."
"Wait, what about the 1st daughter?"
"The 1st? She'll be 24 next year and had just gotten married recntly to another gangster," he said quickly trying to get off the subject.
"Oh, congrats to her."
"Yeah!" Ryo suddenly stood up from the chair he was sitting on just now and began walking away. "Well, that is what you asked me to do and I delivered. Wait? Did you hear the kids crying, must be their diapers again. You know those darn diapers!" he said running to the kids' room.
*Darn? What has gotten into him? Maybe his friend being in that situation upset him too? Hmmmmmm but I do pity the friend, he goes through so much drama, I know that no one will just be okay with that. No one will be like ' yeah we still can be friends' after all that drama. I wonder who this friend of Ryo's is?*
Brandon's POV
Today is the day mom and dad came back from Alessandra's wedding and I just didn't want to hear it, it was already hurtful to know that she had moved on so fast with that guy but to know she agreed to marry him after knowing him for a short period of time is what really stings me.
"Brandon? Honey? Are you in there?" mom said as she opened my door to see me still in bed as it was still morning. She came to my bed and I really didn't want to talk about it. "We came back from the wedding. I know Brandon, I didn't want to go either but your dad needs me and.... I know it's not an excuse but you have to let Allie go. She is a married woman now and... I know it hurts after what she did and no one will take your side but your siblings will, mostly Renee and me as well. Remember that." mom said.
I pretended to be asleep by making believable snoring sounds.
"Okay then." Then I heard the door closed and I started to feel sad again which means another pill for the day.
Maya's POV
I know Brandon is upset and he wasn't sleeping and just avoiding the conversation, I wouldn't know what to do if I was in his position either. Like, who does this thing ever happen to?
"Hey baby" My husband said to me from behind and he started kissing my neck. "So how's he doing?"
I turn to look at him. "HOW'S HE DOING?! Hayden, your son just got his heart broken by that white girl!"
"MAYA!"
I looked at him furiously but also started whispering. "By that girl and you didn't even defend him."
"He called my boss's daughter a Tramp, it's disrespectful and it was out of my hands on what Trent would do."
"It was a mistake Hayden and he didn't even mean in that context, just so you know Hayden, she didn't nicest things to him either! and second of all, you are his father Hayden! You are his daddy! You are supposed to help him, yes he was out of line but who is going to help him now?! You are so busy at work that your youngest child feels like no one loves or cares about him which isn't true! And now the girl he loved for 5 years and wanted to propose to is now not only married but pregnant to the guy she had known for a few months."
"That guy saved Trent's wife and her too."
"SO WHAT?! If a guy saves my mother's or my life. Automatically it means that I have to marry him?! and it doesn't make it feel any better for Brandon that she didn't apologise for her behaviour Hayden. She maybe the Red Dragon's princess but that does not mean she is untouchable to anything, she cannot just throw tantrums and runaway and expect everyone to go along with it and be okay with that. She hurt Brandon, Brandon even wanted to find her but you said because he wasn't a gang member, he couldn't come, that he had to look after me and Renee, now i am happy he didn't go because, he would have his heart broken by her in another country, that is not making anyone feel better Hayden."
i sighed and took a deep breath, i don't want to argue with him right now, we have been arguing eversince i saw my son's face that Trent gave him "You know what, I don't care about this right now because our son is hurt and he is not himself anymore, I don't see my son in that room, he has changed and you can't even help him? Go and help him now Hayden!"
"FINE MAYA! I'll help him."
I saw Hayden go up to Brandon's room and I suddenly hurt him shouting out my name from upstairs in Brandon's bedroom. "MAYA call the ambulance now!"
"What?!" I was confused at first until I saw him coming down and he was holding Brandon who was unconscious. He then put Brandon on the couch and he called the ambulance himself. "BRANDON NO!!!! MY BABY! WHAT HAPPEN?!"
And then I saw the pills that were still in his grip, he overdose himself

"Well, five years is a long time and couples do tend to get married around that year mark but I know couples who waited till like their 10th year mark to get married or even less than that. so maybe he is, maybe he isn't, depending on the couple I guess."
"Okay, so he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, he was 22 when it happened and he even got his boss to help him with reservations to a very high-class exclusive restaurant that is really hard to get in or even book."
"Wow, fancy guy I see."
"So when he proposed to his girlfriend, the girlfriend who was also 22 when it happened, told him that she will be moving abroad for an internship that she applied to. She has to leave the country for a year or so... And she was leaving the very next week... And she didn't tell anyone, not even her family that she was leaving."
"Okay, hold on. I don't know if it's an Asian thing or it's the strict parents thing but... I wouldn't even do that to mama and papa, well except for my rebellious days. But still, what was this girl thinking?! Why didn't she tell her parents about this? In a week? She was leaving in a week and didn't even tell anyone till the last minute?! Did she think that no one would notice?"I started ranting.
"Oh, there is more, so my friend and his girlfriend kinda had an argument because he doesn't agree she should go and then they started arguing even more which was mostly her talking and him saying that her father would never go for it."
"Okay, and your hypothetical question is?"
"Who is wrong here? My friend or his girlfriend?"
"Well, that is hard! So I would say both but I pity the guy mostly. Because...since he's already thinking about marriage, it means he is serious about her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. But knowing that she made plans without telling anyone including him makes him feel unimportant, I get it. But he shouldn't have also mentioned her dad in the argument. If you want my opinion, I think the way the girl handled the situation was really childish and thoughtless, I pity the guy that had to deal with that and I know that he would always be seen as the bad guy in those situations. I get her situation too, that she has the right to make her own decision but how she handled it was really bad."
"Really?"
"YEAH! C'mon, she is fighting with him like it was their first-ever fight and it was over an argument that could be easily resolved by communication, i know is easier said than done but i think both of them have to communicate on how they should handled situation, marriage isn't a walk in a park, they communicate, and this comes from a person who has been married before. Communicate is key.
"If they could have communicated about where they are heading in life, that would have not ever happened. To me, the girl was in the wrong for not telling anyone till the last minute and the guy was misunderstood. He didn't know how to handle the sudden situation that was brought to him and she just bluntly said it out of nowhere. Not choosing sides here, even though it looks like I am."
"Wait, there is even more to this..." Ryo then told me the whole story of his friend's dilemma.
Turns out that Ryo's friend's girlfriend kinda in a way "Broke up" with him in that restaurant but it was really unclear if she meant it. The guy got so upset his buddies from work tried to cheer him up by going to a bar, his buddies took the opportunity to tell him to flirt with a girl in the bar and he did, he also kissed her.
His girlfriend who somehow "broke up" with him, saw it and got so angry that she confronted him and told him that she doesn't want to see him ever again. They made up the next day and the day after, it turns out she went to Italy for her internship and she was doing well for a couple of days, the boyfriend called her and she seemed fine.
One day, when her boyfriend tried to call her, she didn't pick up or even picked up her parent's calls. It turns out she didn't attend her internship anymore and everyone was worried. What really happened to her was the craziest thing I have ever heard, it was like in a drama or something.
The girl went out with some colleagues and somehow there was an explosion and she hit her head that caused her amnesia, she wasn't found for 3-4 months tops. There was a man there who saved her and took care of her, he was rich and he got enough money to take care of her. Then I found out that Ryo got really invested in his friend's life as it turns out that a maid saw the girl and the guy who saved her slept together a couple of times. They both had a huge fight when she got her memories back, she went back home and told her boyfriend that she is in love with the guy who saved her by accident.
But what really made me mad was that she did remember her boyfriend when she had amnesia but wasn't sure and she slept with that guy anyway. She got upset when she found out that 2 weeks before she returned back home her mom was presumed dead when her car slipped off the road and went into a deep river and no one found her body.
To clear her mind, she went to a bar with her friend and they started drinking, knowing the fact that her mom is dead and that she had boy problems, her friend persuaded her to kiss a guy and she did. Her boyfriend saw and confronted her... just say family members' names were tossed around and him calling her the playboy's "Tramp" wasn't doing him any favours.
The guy who saved the girl was a playboy and has been caught with a lot of women since his early 20s so that is why he said it. It was out of line, but so was she in my opinion. She ran away for the whole night and the boyfriend got punched by the dad when he found out that she was gone again and what the boyfriend said to his daughter.
Long story short turns out mom was not dead, the guy who saved her life, saved her mom's life when he was searching for the girl and he proposed to her a few months after she broke up with her boyfriend and went on a weekend trip with the so-called "Playboy" and they are getting married soon.
"I can't, I just can't but let me ask you this. This is going to sound kinda racist, but is the girl white?" I asked and Ryo nodded. "And your friend isn't?" he nodded again.
"What is going on here?! What kind of drama is this?! This is some dumb weird racist thing here, and let me guess your friend got what he deserves for kissing another girl and calling her a 'Tramp' which i agree, he was wrong for saying that but somehow the girl that didn't tell her parents she was leaving the country." I took a deep breath. "Who broke up with the boyfriend and said all that nonsense to him publicly, who went missing and came back after amnesia and remembered her boyfriend but slept with another man, who literally went to a bar and kiss a guy just knowing her mom died and running away again!!! She didn't get any squat of punishment! Didn't she?DIDN'T SHE?!"
"And from what you are telling me, this girl right here lives happily ever after and your friend gets nothing and becomes the villain of the story and that he got what he deserves? That is so unfair! He has feelings too, you know? What about his feelings?"
"Well, her father who punched my friend got punched himself and got a fractured rib by someone recently," Ryo told me.
"Well, that doesn't seems to make anything better for your friend, people would always take her side by saying she had amnesia. She has the amnesia card, she can't be touch because of it"
"Okay, do you want to know about the Brooks family?"
"Oh yeah, about that, you just got me so riled up that it nearly slipped my mind. Hope your friend is feeling better by the way."
"Well, he is kinda recovering but... Going back to the Brooks family." Ryo took a deep breath and continued. "So Trent Brooks became the leader at a really young age of 16-17 years old since his parents died from a gang-related invasion. So he had to take care of his younger brother who eventually dies at a young age again from another gang- related invasion a few years later."
"Wow, that's got to be hard. I feel sorry for him."
"So he married his wife when he was around his 20s and it was forced in a way which became love somehow."
"What are we in a movie?!"
"And they have 3 children now. The oldest is Toby who is like 26 I guess and..." he then mumbles the rest and all I heard was. "And his other daughter Chloe who is like maybe going to be around 2-3 years old."
"Wait, what about the 1st daughter?"
"The 1st? She'll be 24 next year and had just gotten married recntly to another gangster," he said quickly trying to get off the subject.
"Oh, congrats to her."
"Yeah!" Ryo suddenly stood up from the chair he was sitting on just now and began walking away. "Well, that is what you asked me to do and I delivered. Wait? Did you hear the kids crying, must be their diapers again. You know those darn diapers!" he said running to the kids' room.
*Darn? What has gotten into him? Maybe his friend being in that situation upset him too? Hmmmmmm but I do pity the friend, he goes through so much drama, I know that no one will just be okay with that. No one will be like ' yeah we still can be friends' after all that drama. I wonder who this friend of Ryo's is?*
Brandon's POV
Today is the day mom and dad came back from Alessandra's wedding and I just didn't want to hear it, it was already hurtful to know that she had moved on so fast with that guy but to know she agreed to marry him after knowing him for a short period of time is what really stings me.
"Brandon? Honey? Are you in there?" mom said as she opened my door to see me still in bed as it was still morning. She came to my bed and I really didn't want to talk about it. "We came back from the wedding. I know Brandon, I didn't want to go either but your dad needs me and.... I know it's not an excuse but you have to let Allie go. She is a married woman now and... I know it hurts after what she did and no one will take your side but your siblings will, mostly Renee and me as well. Remember that." mom said.
I pretended to be asleep by making believable snoring sounds.
"Okay then." Then I heard the door closed and I started to feel sad again which means another pill for the day.
Maya's POV
I know Brandon is upset and he wasn't sleeping and just avoiding the conversation, I wouldn't know what to do if I was in his position either. Like, who does this thing ever happen to?
"Hey baby" My husband said to me from behind and he started kissing my neck. "So how's he doing?"
I turn to look at him. "HOW'S HE DOING?! Hayden, your son just got his heart broken by that white girl!"
"MAYA!"
I looked at him furiously but also started whispering. "By that girl and you didn't even defend him."
"He called my boss's daughter a Tramp, it's disrespectful and it was out of my hands on what Trent would do."
"It was a mistake Hayden and he didn't even mean in that context, just so you know Hayden, she didn't nicest things to him either! and second of all, you are his father Hayden! You are his daddy! You are supposed to help him, yes he was out of line but who is going to help him now?! You are so busy at work that your youngest child feels like no one loves or cares about him which isn't true! And now the girl he loved for 5 years and wanted to propose to is now not only married but pregnant to the guy she had known for a few months."
"That guy saved Trent's wife and her too."
"SO WHAT?! If a guy saves my mother's or my life. Automatically it means that I have to marry him?! and it doesn't make it feel any better for Brandon that she didn't apologise for her behaviour Hayden. She maybe the Red Dragon's princess but that does not mean she is untouchable to anything, she cannot just throw tantrums and runaway and expect everyone to go along with it and be okay with that. She hurt Brandon, Brandon even wanted to find her but you said because he wasn't a gang member, he couldn't come, that he had to look after me and Renee, now i am happy he didn't go because, he would have his heart broken by her in another country, that is not making anyone feel better Hayden."
i sighed and took a deep breath, i don't want to argue with him right now, we have been arguing eversince i saw my son's face that Trent gave him "You know what, I don't care about this right now because our son is hurt and he is not himself anymore, I don't see my son in that room, he has changed and you can't even help him? Go and help him now Hayden!"
"FINE MAYA! I'll help him."
I saw Hayden go up to Brandon's room and I suddenly hurt him shouting out my name from upstairs in Brandon's bedroom. "MAYA call the ambulance now!"
"What?!" I was confused at first until I saw him coming down and he was holding Brandon who was unconscious. He then put Brandon on the couch and he called the ambulance himself. "BRANDON NO!!!! MY BABY! WHAT HAPPEN?!"
And then I saw the pills that were still in his grip, he overdose himself
