Reading from the title, you all would think, WHAT? What does that supposed to mean?
Well, let me tell you, Aurora wasn't originally called Aurora; she was supposed to be called Passion. Passion? yes! The reason is that I like watching telenovelas type kind of story and Spanish telenovelas seem exciting to me. So i thought; "Hmm? what if i make a telenovela story of my own, which is called Passion or life of Passion pronounce as life of pasión, need to google that one. she is a girl who was found as a baby and was raised by 3 men who she called uncles who are assasins, yes you read that right! Assasins, it is an adventure, not a fantasy story, an adventure action story and the 3 men? Well, they were inspired by the movie 3 Men and a Baby. Yes, that comedy movie. If you don't know that movie, please Google it, it's a funny show and sweet too. But then I scratched all of that and remade it into the Aurora book you see now, and the 3 men? I changed them to her brothers, so yeah, that is the fun fact, Aurora was supposed to be named pasión, and her brothers were supposed to be 3 men raising her to be an assassin. strange right? The development from my original to this, I just like reading fantasy! hehe Any thoughts? Share your comments with me

What inspired me for all the characters of the book, well it was inspired a little from my own high school life and with alot of imagination of meeting people who are similar to the characters that are in the Aurora: Princess of the Mythical land.
As written in the back of the book, I mentioned that I am Singaporean. In Singapore, we have a lot of people of different ethnicities, Malay, Chinese, indian, but sometimes I wanted to meet more people in the European continent or more east asian or south asian. It was also inspired by watching many cartoons and western shows, which inspired me to ask; "Hmm? What if I can make a story of friendships full of a mixture of different ethnicities and cultures?" I want more inclusivity in my characters because I live in a country that is full of multiracial and multicultural and somehow it was explored in this story and my other story, Destiny of the Butterfly Necklace. If anyone has any other thoughts or shares about stories that you read full of inclusivity or even more stories about friendship, let me know Writing Aurora has been a truly special experience for me. It all started with me creating a story inspired by my own anime character. From there, it slowly evolved into something much bigger—a unique blend of fantasy, spy, and mafia elements with a meaningful touch of romance. This book allowed me to fully explore my creativity. I was able to build a world filled with character development, emotional growth, and powerful female friendships. Aurora's story is not just magical—it's also about healing, understanding, and discovering who you are.
I'm grateful I had the chance to turn this story into something real and publish it. Thank you for reading and joining me on this journey. There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to share it with you all 💜 |
